Several of our favorite Halloween drinks use black vodka as one of the main ingredients in order to prepare some of the best spooky drinks! Today we are sharing our simple method of DIY black vodka. Our local liquor store has never carried black vodka so we have always had to make our own. After a few different experiments using various food colorings we have decided that the ingredients and method below work best to make black vodka at home. We had some success with traditional food coloring, however we have found that the gel works better. Since we know that we will be making Halloween cocktails out of the DIY black vodka we make we suggest that you use a middle grade vodka, however feel free to use any vodka you desire. This quick and simple step of making your vodka black will help you create the perfect cocktails at your Halloween party!
How to Make Black Vodka Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Vodka
- Black Food Coloring Gel
How To Make Black Vodka Steps:
- Decide how much and what variety of vodka you want to dye black
- Add a couple drops of black food coloring gel to the vodka and stir/shake
- Repeat step 2 until the desired color is achieved. You want to use as little food coloring gel as possible to avoid adding any off tastes to your vodka.
- Use your now black vodka to make some awesome Halloween cocktails!
